First Letter

We received our first letter from Aaron on Friday June 24th. He is excited and doing well. He really likes his companion. He requested flip flops for the "gross" showers. We sent him a care package with goodies and flip flops.

MTC Drop Off

We just got back from dropping Aaron off at the MTC in Provo. It was a very bitter sweet moment for all of us. Aaron was in high spirits and ready to go. We are excited for him and his opportunity to serve the Lord for two years in San Diego.

Setting Apart Pictures

Last Night at 9:00 pm, Stake President Jonathan Parker of the Willow Creek Stake set Aaron apart to be a missionary in the San Diego, California Mission. Bishop Cannon was there along with Aaron's immediate family; Grandma & Grandpa Lloyd and Anderson, Brother Adam and his wife Anna and their daughter Nolie, Sister Ashley, Aaron's Parents Rick & Shauna. Rich and Karrie Cook came later.  Rick Lloyd offered the opening prayer and Hal Anderson gave the closing prayer. President Parker gave a beautiful blessing and set Aaron apart.

Farewell Open House

After Sacrament Meeting, Aaron's Open House was held at his Grandparents (Lloyd) home at 8425 Willow Creek Dr. Sandy, Utah. It is estimated that over 120 friends and family came to the open house to wish Aaron well on his way to San Diego.
